Video Automation

Publish to YouTube automatically

Upload videos and Shorts to your YouTube channel through the official YouTube Data API v3 – with every setting YouTube offers, scheduled to the minute.

Status: Coming soon

Built and tested; the platform's approval is still missing (Google OAuth verification + YouTube API audit). Until then YouTube cannot be connected.

What it can do

  • Videos and Shorts. Vertical or square videos up to three minutes become Shorts automatically; YouTube decides the classification, there is no separate API flag.
  • Resumable uploads. Large files are sent in chunks. If the connection drops, the upload continues where it stopped instead of starting over.
  • All metadata. Title (up to 100 characters), description (up to 5,000), up to 30 tags, category, default and audio language, recording date, licence, embedding and public statistics.
  • Visibility and scheduling. Public, unlisted or private. For a fixed publishing time we can either send the video at that time or upload it early as private with a YouTube publish time (youtube_publish_at), so YouTube releases it itself.
  • Made for kids and AI disclosure. The "made for kids" setting and the altered or synthetic content flag (containsSyntheticMedia, also set by the cross-platform is_ai_generated).
  • Thumbnail. A custom image (JPG or PNG) is set right after the upload. YouTube only accepts custom thumbnails on verified channels.
  • Playlists. Add the new video to one or several playlists of the same channel (youtube_playlist_id).
  • Subtitles. Upload one or more caption files (SRT, VTT and other common formats) with language and track name.
  • First comment. Post a comment under the video right after publishing, e.g. with links or chapters.
  • Statistics and delete. Read views, likes and comments of a video and channel figures; delete a video again via the API.
  • Brand accounts. In Google's sign-in window you choose which channel to connect – including brand account channels.

Limits

  • Review: Google OAuth verification and the YouTube API audit (Audit and Quota Extension). Until Google has approved our app, the connect button shows "coming soon".
  • Daily upload quota: Google gives every API project a fixed number of uploads per day (currently 100 for all customers together, before the audit). We spread it fairly, show it in the app and move posts to the next day instead of losing them when it is used up.
  • Per channel: YouTube limits uploads per channel as well; we allow up to 30 posts per connected channel in 24 hours.
  • Private uploads: In the past, videos from unverified API projects were locked to private. Google lifted this rule in November 2026. If YouTube still sets a video to private, the post shows a clear warning – see troubleshooting.
  • Video length: Channels that are not phone-verified can only upload videos up to 15 minutes.
  • Custom thumbnails need a verified channel; playlists must belong to the same channel.

Setup

  1. In the app open Accounts and choose the profile (brand or client) the channel belongs to.
  2. Click Connect on the YouTube tile.
  3. Google opens its sign-in window. Choose the Google account and then the channel – brand account channels appear in the same list.
  4. Confirm the requested permissions. You can revoke them any time in your Google account settings.
  5. Back in the app, the tile shows the channel name. Create a post under New post, tick YouTube and set the YouTube options.

Via API, send platform[]=youtube and a title – YouTube always needs a title. More: connect accounts, scheduling.

FAQ

Can I connect several YouTube channels?

Yes. Each profile holds one YouTube channel. Create one profile per channel and connect each one; for brand accounts pick the channel in Google's window.

Why does my video show "private" although I chose public?

YouTube decides the final visibility. If it differs from your choice, the post shows a warning with the reason. The usual causes are explained in troubleshooting.

What happens when the daily quota is used up?

The post is not lost. It waits and is sent automatically when Google resets the quota (midnight Pacific time). Details: quota.

Does a failed playlist or subtitle step fail the whole post?

No. The video is published; the result of each playlist, subtitle and first comment step is reported separately with the post.

Do I need to stay signed in to Google?

No. We store an encrypted refresh token and renew access automatically. If Google withdraws access, the account is marked "reconnect needed" and you get a webhook.
