Connect now

What it can do

  • Videos through the Bluesky video service: upload, processing, then the post with the video embedded.
  • Images: up to 4 per post, each with alt text.
  • Text posts up to 300 characters, with post language.
  • First reply under the post right after publishing.
  • Statistics: followers and posts of the account, likes, reposts, replies and quotes of a post.
  • Delete a post again via the API.

Bluesky needs no approval from a platform, so connecting works right away.

Limits

  • No review needed. Bluesky connects with an app password you create yourself.
  • 25 videos per day and account, and at most 10 GB of video per day (Bluesky's limits).
  • Images: at most 4 per post and about 976 KB each – larger images are rejected by Bluesky, so compress them first.
  • 300 characters per post; longer text is not split automatically.
  • Your Bluesky e-mail address must be confirmed before Bluesky accepts videos.

Setup

  1. In Bluesky open Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords and create a new app password. Your normal password is never needed.
  2. In our app open Accounts, choose the profile and click Connect on the Bluesky tile.
  3. Enter your handle (for example name.bsky.social) and the app password (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx).
  4. The tile shows your handle. In New post tick Bluesky and optionally set Bluesky text and alt text.

Via API: platform[]=bluesky, text in bluesky_title or title, bluesky_alt_text, bluesky_langs. More: connect accounts.

FAQ

Is my Bluesky password safe?

You give us an app password, not your main password. It is stored encrypted and you can revoke it in Bluesky at any time – the account is then marked "reconnect needed".

Why was my image rejected?

Bluesky accepts images up to about 1 MB. Save the image as JPG with a lower quality or smaller size and try again.

Can I use my own domain as handle?

Yes. Enter the handle exactly as shown in Bluesky, for example brand.com.
