Publishing and scheduling posts
Publish now or schedule in any time zone, use queue slots per profile, work with the calendar, reschedule, cancel, retry failed posts and add a first comment.
Every post goes through the same engine – whether you create it in New post, with the REST API or the Upload-Post compatible API.
Publish now
- Open New post, upload the video or photos and enter the title or caption.
- Pick the profile and the platforms.
- Click Publish now.
The post appears in Queue with a status per platform: waiting, publishing, published or failed. When all platforms are done it moves to History, with a link to every published post.
Schedule for later
- In New post tick Schedule for later.
- Choose date and time and check the time zone (default: your workspace time zone from Settings → Workspace).
- Click Schedule.
Times are stored in the time zone you chose and stay correct across daylight saving changes. You can schedule up to 365 days ahead.
In the API, send scheduled_date (for example 2026-12-01T12:00:00) and timezone (for example Europe/Berlin). A date with an offset like +01:00 is used as is. A scheduled request answers with HTTP 202 and a job_id.
YouTube premiere time (publishAt)
For YouTube you can also upload right away and let YouTube publish later: send youtube_publish_at (RFC 3339). The video is uploaded as private and YouTube switches it to public at that time. This uses the YouTube upload quota at upload time, not at publish time.
Queue slots
Instead of choosing a time for every post, give each profile fixed posting times (slots), for example 9:00, 12:00 and 17:00 on weekdays. A post with add_to_queue=true takes the next free slot.
- Set slots with
POST /api/uploadposts/queue/settings(profile_username,timezone,slotsas[{"hour":9,"minute":0}],days_of_weekwith 0 = Monday,max_posts_per_slot). - Preview the next slots with
GET /api/uploadposts/queue/previewand the next free one withGET /api/uploadposts/queue/next-slot. add_to_queuecannot be combined withscheduled_date.
The answer contains job_id, scheduled_date and queue_slot.
Calendar
Calendar shows scheduled and published posts per month. Click a post to see the details per platform. Previous, Today and Next switch the month.
Reschedule or cancel
Open a scheduled post (in Calendar, Queue or the overview) and click Details:
- Reschedule – choose a new time and save.
- Cancel post – the post is cancelled and its uploads are refunded to your monthly count.
Changes are possible until one minute before the scheduled time. After that the post is already being published. In the API use PATCH or DELETE /api/uploadposts/schedule/{job_id}.
Retry failed posts
Temporary errors (platform overloaded, network) are retried automatically up to five times with growing intervals, and big uploads resume where they stopped. If a platform still fails, open the post and click Retry failed – only the failed platforms are sent again. In the API: POST /api/uploadposts/posts/retry with request_id or job_id.
Common reasons are listed in Troubleshooting.
First comment
Many creators put links or hashtags into the first comment. Send first_comment for all platforms or a platform-specific field such as youtube_first_comment or instagram_first_comment. Supported where the platform's API allows it: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, X and Bluesky. TikTok and Pinterest have no comment API; the field is then ignored and the result carries a warning.
A failed first comment never fails the post itself – it shows up as a warning on the platform result.
Limits to keep in mind
- Your plan counts uploads: 1 upload = 1 post to 1 account.
- Each connected account has a daily cap to protect it from platform bans (for example 30 YouTube uploads per day).
- Platforms have their own limits, listed on each integration page.
