What it can do
- Videos uploaded in chunks with X's media upload v2; we wait until X has processed them.
- Images: up to 4 per post.
- Text posts with reply settings (everyone, people you follow, mentioned accounts), reply to an existing post and community posts.
- Tagging up to 10 users in media and the "made with AI" disclosure.
- First reply under the post right after publishing.
- Statistics (followers, likes, reposts, replies, impressions) and delete a post again.
Limits
- Review: an X developer account with paid API credits. X charges for every post made through its API; until our X app is set up, the connect button shows "coming soon".
- Fair use: the X price is included in your plan. We allow up to 50 posts per connected account in 24 hours.
- Text length: 280 characters for standard accounts; longer posts only for accounts with X Premium.
- Images: at most 4 per post; a video cannot be combined with images.
- X may refuse statistics for posts that were not created by the connected account.
Setup
- In the app open Accounts, choose the profile and click Connect on the X tile.
- Sign in with X and allow reading and writing posts, uploading media and offline access (so we can post while you are away).
- The tile shows your @ handle.
- In New post tick X; set a separate X text if the main text is too long.
Via API: platform[]=x (or twitter), text in x_title or title, reply_settings, made_with_ai. Text-only posts go to /api/upload_text, images to /api/upload_photos. More: connect accounts.
FAQ
Why does X cost extra elsewhere but not here?
X bills apps per API post. We included this in our plans with a fair-use cap, so you do not need your own X developer account.
Can I post a thread?
Use the first reply to continue the post. Long threads with many parts are not supported yet.
Are links removed from my text?
No. We send your text as you wrote it.
