Publish videos from Zapier

What it can do

• Publish or schedule from any Zap trigger – a new row in Google Sheets, a file in Dropbox, a form answer, an RSS item.
• Receive results with "Catch Hook": one event per platform with the post URL or the error, to log it, notify your team or update a sheet.
• Use the REST API v1 (JSON) or the Upload-Post compatible API.

Honest note: we do not offer a native Zapier app. "Webhooks by Zapier" is a standard Zapier tool and talks to our API directly.

Limits

• "Webhooks by Zapier" is only available on paid Zapier plans.
• Zapier steps time out after a limited time; always send async_upload=true (compatible API) or use the REST API v1, and pick up the result with a Catch Hook.
• Files: Zapier passes files as URLs. Send a public video URL; we download it.
• The limits of your plan apply (requests per minute, uploads per month).

Setup

1. In our app create an API key under API & webhooks.
2. In your Zap add the action Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request:
   • Method POST, URL https://my-video-automation.com/v1/posts
   • Data: {"profile":"my-brand","platforms":["youtube","bluesky"],"title":"…","media_urls":["…"]} – map title and URL from your trigger
   • Headers: Authorization = Bearer YOUR_KEY, Content-Type = application/json
3. Test the step; the answer contains the post with its status per platform.
4. Alternative with the compatible API: action POST, URL https://my-video-automation.com/api/upload, payload type Form, fields user, platform[], title, video (URL), async_upload = true, header Authorization = Apikey YOUR_KEY.
5. For results: new Zap with Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook, copy the URL, add it in our app under API & webhooks → New webhook, then Send test event.

FAQ

Can I send to several platforms in one step?

Yes. With JSON list them in platforms; with the form payload repeat platform[].

Will there be a native Zapier app?

It is on our list, but there is no date. The webhook route offers the full API today.

How do I schedule a post?

Add scheduled_at and timezone to the JSON (or scheduled_date and timezone in the form).
