Delete your data
You connected a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X or Bluesky account to Video Automation and want us to delete your data? There are three ways to do it.
What data we hold
For a connected account we store the account's identifier at the platform, display name, username and profile picture, the encrypted access tokens (for Bluesky the encrypted app password) and the details of posts published or scheduled through Video Automation. Uploaded videos and images are deleted automatically anyway after 3 to 90 days, depending on the plan. Details are in the privacy policy.
Option 1: In the app
If you are a Video Automation customer yourself:
- Sign in to the app and open Accounts.
- Select the account and click Disconnect. We delete the tokens immediately and revoke them at the platform where the platform offers this.
- To delete everything, open Settings, section Privacy & data, and click Delete workspace. We then revoke access at the platforms and immediately delete all connected accounts, posts, media, API keys and webhooks; a running subscription is cancelled. Before that, you can download a JSON file there with Export all data.
Only invoice data that we are legally required to keep is excluded.
Option 2: Revoke access at the platform
You can also remove Video Automation's access directly at the platform. This also works if a company connected your account to Video Automation through a connect link and you have no access to the app yourself.

The platforms rename their menus from time to time; you will always find the setting under connected apps or permissions.
Option 3: By e-mail
Write to info@my-video-automation.com and tell us the platform and your username or channel name there. We delete the data and confirm the deletion. So that we do not delete someone else's data, we may ask you to briefly confirm that the account is yours.
We delete data obtained from the YouTube API no later than 7 days after your request.
Check the status of your deletion request
If you requested deletion through Facebook, Instagram or Threads, you receive a confirmation code there. You can see the status of your request at:

The page shows when the request was received, whether it has been completed and how many connected accounts were removed.
What we cannot delete
Posts that have already been published on a platform belong to your account there. We do not delete them when we remove the connection. You can delete them at the platform yourself.
If a company connected your account through a connect link, that company is responsible for the data. We will still help: write to us, and we will remove the connection and inform the company.
